BDAY TURN UP
Loving the day God brought me into this world was something foreign to me during my childhood. I have no pictures or party memories of celebrating my birthday for most of my life. Because of my religion and extreme impoverished circumstances growing up – my family never celebrated birthdays.
I didn’t start celebrating birthdays until literally 10 years ago for my 40th.
One of the reasons this 50th milestone birthday is so special to me, is many of the people closest to me…did not make it to see 50. My mother lost her life at the young age of 39.
So as I fight back tears and turn them into cheers – just know when yall saw me turn all the way up on the gram for my BDay, I definitely made up for some lost time, by celebrating life to the absolute fullest.

BDAY W/MY BAE + MY VIRGO BEY!!!
When Beyonce’s Renaissance tour was announced – I jumped into the lottery asap to get tickets. When I received the concert options I could attend…guess which city landed on the week of my BDay? (my BDay is August 28th btw).
VEGAS!!!
I was like, “This show is supposed to happen for my birthday with Beyonce my Virgo sista – and Viva Las Vegas is where I’m supposed to be!” Tickets were secured for me, 2 of my BFFs, and of course Ray aka “Bae.”
Since Beyonce’s marquee photo for the Renaissance album was her riding on a horse, I channeled that same cowgirl energy! MY MOST MEMORABLE 50TH BDAY HIGHLIGHTS

SPA DAY: I enjoyed the most therapeutic spa day. It was all the soft life and self-care I needed to feel super relaxed and pretty at 50.
PK + BEYONCE UP CLOSE:
At the Renaissance concert I was swirling around on the stage risers in the front of VIP, so close I was damn near a part of the show lol. I would not be surprised if I end up in some viral clip.
It felt like the camera man was filming Beyonce one moment…and then filming me the next. When I asked Ray why I was being taped, he said, “It’s that thigh!”
And then…Beyonce made eye contact with me.
If I could decipher what she said in her head, it would be: “I can tell my girl right here is a straight up Virgo!” #CuffIt
AFTER PARTY GIRL TIME: Coming back to the hotel having a time’ at 3-4am…and turnin’ up some more to create timeless memories with my two BFFs was everything! (by that time Ray was cowboy down and out for the count lol).
VIBIN WITH JAY Z: At the luxurious 5-star hotel I stayed in, I got a chance to soak in my beautiful milestone birthday in the most beautiful spaces with sensory music.
One day while I was lounging and vibin’…guess who was right outside of my suite tower?

I felt like we were both enjoying an escape. It was definitely a surreal vibe!
BDAY REVELATION
During this milestone birthday of turning Pretty Fiddy – my greatest revelation I learned was to: Be present in the moment of a good time.
We’re not always present with our non-practical desires. But this BDay I was very intentional about the most incredible experiences I wanted to have. I knew how I wanted to dress and show up. My BDay Renaissance theme was most definitely #RideEmRenaissanceVirgoCowgirl.
This was without a doubt my BEST BIRTHDAY EVER! I felt love. I felt accepted. I felt good enough. I felt pretty enough. I felt young enough. I felt old enough. I FELT SO GOOD…SO GOOD…SO GOOD!
I am grateful to be alive, health and happy! I enjoyed creating unforgettable moments with loved ones that love allowing me to be me. They gave me all the grace and space I needed to entertain all my wild cowgirl fantasies.
Afterwards, I came back home to 140 emails and a lotta “life be life’n” kinda stuff. I simply replied: “YOU WON’T BREAK MY SOUL!”
